Our Process For Buyers
Buying a home or any Real Estate Transaction is a huge investment for many people.
Below is a ten step look into the buying process.
Step 1: Start your research early
Start reading websites, newspapers and magazines that have real estate listings. Make a note of particular homes you are interested and how long they stay on the market. Also, note any price changes. This will give you a sense of the housing trend in specific areas.
Step 2: Set a budget
Lenders generally recommend that people look for homes that cost no more than three to fives their annual household income. Buyer’s should make their budget based on their own financial situation.
Step 3: Find the right Mortgage company and lender. Get prequalified and preapproved
Before you start looking for a home, you’ll need to know how much you can actually spend. The best way to do that is to get pre-qualified for a mortgage. To get pre-qualified you will need to provide some financial information to your mortgage banker.
Step 4: Find the right “Real Estate Agent”
Real Estate agents are important partners in the transaction when you’re Selling or Buying a home. Aligning yourself with the right Real Estate expert from the start will save time and frustration in the long run. Seasoned Agents will have an arsenal of strategies to help their clients in the Buying and Selling process.
Step 5: Tour homes, find home, make offer and acceptance

Step 6: Home Inspection
Typically, purchase offers are contingent on a home inspection of the property to check for signs of structural damage and other items needing fixed. Your Real Estate Agent will guide you through the entire home inspection process.
Step 7: Select your preferred loan with your lender

Step 8: Home Appraisal
Lenders will arrange for an appraiser to provide an independent estimate of the value of the house you are buying.
Step 9: Coordinate paperwork
There is a lot of paperwork involved in buying a house. Your agent and lender will work together to make sure Title has all of the paperwork and it is correct.
